As we walked home from the Town Hall/Opera House after the event my son Thomas said "I had a great time tonight Dad". This I'm sure is what the local Lions Club wanted to achieve with their event. The entertainment, club displays, speakers and just plain old mingling put faces to names for newcomers and long-time residents alike.
Madeline Dunn gave a synopsis of the Lions Clubs significant positive impact on our town.
And toward the end of the evening the stage was filled with people who, like my family, are new to Wolseley, and that was so good to see.

This sounds like a great idea for our town as well. We haven't had as many people move in it seems but nonetheless people need to get to know others more quickly.
I was there at the night. There were so many new people and they seemed to enjoy the night just like I did. Hope there is another down the road...that is if our town keeps growing.
